About the Artist:
Adrielle Rowan of Opossum Apothecary
Adrielle Rowan is a block print artist and teacher living on Sauvie Island, Oregon. Her art captures the essence of life in the Pacific Northwest, drawing inspiration from the plants and animals of the region and the creatures she shares space with on the farm where she resides.
Working primarily in high-contrast black and white, Adrielle occasionally experiments with watercolor to bring a new dimension to her work. Her prints celebrate the beauty of the natural world, often focusing on creatures that might not be traditionally charismatic but are uniquely beautiful and fascinating.
Through her art, Adrielle hopes to inspire a deeper appreciation for the interconnectedness of life and to encourage others to care for the living beings that share our land and space.
